Though Creme de Coco Shampoo isn't edible (you might wish it were since it smells so good) its benefits are undeniable; Even the surfactant (the stuff that actually cleanses) is a coconut derivative that lends an unusually luxurious lather.

To make it even richer, another member of the palm family, Astrocaryum Murumuru contributes an extraordinarily rich butter derived from its kernels. More than a few flowers are in the recipe as well: The Mallow adds a soothing effect, and the Milk Thistle contributes its antioxidant properties.

The working name for this shampoo was 'Fabulous' because that was the first word its luxurious feel brought to mind. We decided to call it by what it's made of (since fabulous was already a trademark). After a brief flirtation with Jojo Shampoo and an accompanying Oba Conditioner, we chose Alojoba to reflect the key moisturizing ingredients: Aloe Vera and Jojoba Seed Oil. Add Cucumber, Chamomile, and vitamins and you get Alojobacucumile, or a fabulously nutritious smoothie for hair.
